Today the Muckleshoot Tribal Gaming Agency concentrates its regulatory oversight on two primary facilities: the Muckleshoot Bingo Hall and the Muckleshoot Casino. The Muckleshoot Tribal Gaming Agency was established to monitor the gaming activities, investigate wrongdoing, conduct background investigations, issue licenses, and perform other duties as required for the regulation and integrity of gaming on the Reservation. The Muckleshoot Gaming Commission acts under the authority of the Tribe and is composed of five (5) members of the Muckleshoot Tribe, all of whom may be appointed by the Tribal Council. The Ordinance established the terms for gaming on the Reservation in accordance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. The Ordinance was adopted by Muckleshoot Tribal Council, pursuant to its authority granted under the Tribe’s Constitution. The Muckleshoot Gaming Commission was created through the Muckleshoot Gaming Act of 1992, now known as the Muckleshoot Gaming Ordinance. In 1988, the United States Congress enacted into law the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA).
